A Law Firm Career Doesn’t Require a Law Degree

Did you (or someone you know) graduate with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, history, marketing, philosophy or another field that developed your ability to think critically, communicate clearly and solve problems? Have you ever thought about a rewarding career in a law firm but don't want to go to law school?

Rossman Kirk, PLLC is looking for an intelligent, highly motivated college graduate with a bachelor’s degree to join our growing law firm as an entry-level Legal Operations Associate, with a clear path to advancement into law firm management.

You don't need years of experience or classroom training to work in a law firm. We can teach you the legal side of the job. All we need is your intelligence, initiative, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the desire to learn and grow.

What You'll Do

You will initially work closely with our attorneys and professional staff, learning how a successful law firm operates. Your responsibilities will include:

· Assisting attorneys with litigation and collection matters

· Communicating with clients, courts, opposing counsel and consumers

· Preparing and organizing legal documents

· Managing files, deadlines and other administrative responsibilities

· Conducting research and gathering information

· Learning the fundamentals of debt collection and creditor law

As you develop your skills and demonstrate your capabilities, your responsibilities and compensation will grow with you. The goal is for the successful candidate to transition into a broader role managing the firm's operations.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

· A college graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree (any field)

· Self-motivated, punctual and willing to take initiative

· An excellent writer and communicator

· Intelligent, curious and willing to learn

· Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Interested in building a serious long-term career, rather than simply finding another job

Prior legal experience is not required. We are much more interested in what you can become than where you've worked before.

This is a full-time hybrid work position from our offices in Bloomington, Minnesota with a starting salary of $55,000 to $60,000, depending on qualifications, plus generous benefits package including 100% employer-paid health insurance and a competitive 401K match.
